Dear friends and supporters,
It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the unfortunate news that the Canberra Moon Festival 2023 will not be proceeding this year due to a funding shortage. 😔🌙
The CMF has always been a cherished community event, made possible by the dedication of voluntary committee members and the generous support from local business groups. However, this year's limited funding makes it impossible to cover the increasing operational costs and venue setup expenses.
We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming success of the 2022 CMF, and we had such high hopes for this year's celebration. Your unwavering support truly touched our hearts, and we hope to secure funding from different sources in the future to bring back this wonderful community event. 🙏❤️
As the organizers, we understand that this is a difficult decision, but we remain committed to finding solutions that will continue to support and contribute to our amazing community groups.
Although the event cannot proceed this year, Fun Canberra still stands by the principle of the CMF concept: "One Community, One World, and One Big Family." 🌍👨👩👧👦
We want to extend our support and participation in any cultural-themed events or festivals, and we are here to help in any way we can. Let's keep the spirit of togetherness alive, and we look forward to brighter days ahead!

2022 Canberra Moon Festival: A Resounding Success!
We had over 30,000 people over the 3 days event on the weekend from 09/09/2022 - 11/09/2022.
It was a huge success that could not have been achieved without the participation and assist of our suppliers, volunteers, performers, stallholders, and most importantly our sponsors. Special thanks to CMCF, City Renewal Authority, TCCA and Dynosus for additional support and help.
